Anti-Slavery Project is dedicated to combating human trafficking and sexual exploitation and to raising awareness of the modern-day slave trade.
ASP started as a blog (this one) by Dana, one of the founding members, after watching a documentary and movie about human trafficking. She created the blog to help spread the word in her own community about this important human rights issue. As word got out, she was introduced to Holly, the other founding member. After a few discussions, Dana and Holly decided to start raising awareness by hosting presentations at the local college where they attend. Soon, more people became involved and the decision was made to form an organization.
Our goal is to raise awareness, provide training for individuals and businesses, and eventually create a safe and productive network for survivors by providing medical needs, counseling, job skills, education, and other basic needs such as clothing, food, and shelter.

She is an avid volunteer and can usually be found championing one cause or another. Dana has worked in "corporate america" and in the law enforcement community, giving her a unique combination of skills in which to organize a grassroots campaign against human trafficking. Her goals are to continue her education, promote awareness of the modern-day slave trade, and create programs for women and children in order that they learn the skills needed to survive and thrive in today's society.
